A Community Built on Connection
Beit Or Hadar was founded to create a space where Jewish life feels present, accessible, and deeply human. Our focus is not only on services or programs, but on relationships and shared responsibility.
Our Values
What Guides Us
These principles shape how we build community and support one another.

Learning as a Lifelong Path
We believe Jewish learning should be accessible at every stage of life, meeting people where they are in their journey

Community Before Formality
Genuine relationships and mutual support form the foundation of everything we do together.

Respect for Tradition and Diversity
We honor our rich heritage while embracing the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of our members.

About Us
Mission Statement - To provide the health, happiness, care and future that all children deserve. We will accomplish this goal through networking with various children's charities as well as providing programs set up through 4 The Children Foundation.
Our Goals
Health: The health of a child is at the foundation of what we do. Medical needs must be met for each child to insure they have a great chance at a healthy life.
ie: Wheelchairs, Specialized therapy, Medical expenses, Various medical and occupational equipment.
Happiness: The Happiness of a child is at the very spirit of what we are working towards. If a child is happy and can enjoy life then we have won half the battle.
ie: Wishes made reality, Toys & electronics, Camp, Social events.
Care: Caring for a child is a need that must be met. Providing and meeting day to day needs is a priority. We strive to meet both emotional and physical needs of each individual child.
ie: Nursing/Aide, Food, Daily Expenses, Emotional support programs, Transportation, Housing.
Future: To establish a path to a bright future for each child. Providing this through positive role models and a strong educational background.

My Story
Hello, My name is Todd Land, I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Muscular Dystrophy) at 8 months old. My family was given a life expectancy for me of 3 years. I've always believed a strong mind and purpose of life is the reason I'm still here. I have been one of the fortunate ones. With a great family and amazing friends to support me, my life has been in many ways blessed.
Knowing how fortunate I am I still see the struggles everyday. Unfortunately we live in a monetary world and see children without suffer. Electric wheelchairs, accessible vehicles and insulin pumps are a few examples of high priced items needed. The list truly does go on and on. It's sad to say but many children are in need of simple items like diapers, clothes, even food!
As a young child I always participated in fundraisers for MDA. When I was about 35 (2006), I joined the board of a small nonprofit 501c3 foundation that benefited disabled children. My dream has been to set up my own nonprofit charity 4 The Children..... for ALL children who are in need of help. This is a big dream and like everything else has been expensive to make happen.
In 2018 with your help 4 The Children Foundation became a reality!!
